Frequently asked questions

What does PMBRTN do?

PMBRTN is a Zürich-based AI and operations advisory for small and mid-sized firms, mainly professional services. I find the repetitive admin worth automating, build the workflows and lightweight tools on the systems a firm already uses, and hand them over documented in plain English. See the services.

Who is PMBRTN for?

Firms of roughly 5 to 100 people without an internal tech team, mainly law firms, Treuhand and fiduciary offices, accountants, insurance brokers and consultancies in and around Zürich. See sectors.

How much does it cost?

An AI Opportunity Audit is CHF 750 to 1,500. A first automated workflow starts from CHF 1,500. Custom AI tools start from CHF 5,000. An optional monthly retainer covers ongoing support. Every project is fixed-price and quoted up front. See pricing.

How long does a project take?

The audit takes one to two weeks. A workflow automation takes two to six weeks. A custom tool takes four to eight weeks or more, depending on scope.

Do we need an IT department?

No. That is who PMBRTN is for. You explain where time is being lost; I design, build, test and hand over the solution in plain English. To take a first step yourself, see how to start with AI without an IT department and the one-page AI policy template.

Which tools do you work with?

The ones you already use wherever possible: email, Microsoft 365, documents, spreadsheets and your CRM or practice system. No rip-and-replace.

How do you handle data protection and confidentiality?

It is designed in from the start, informed by experience running IT and security in a regulated Swiss bank. In practice that means business-grade AI services under contract rather than consumer accounts, the minimum data each step needs, access limited to the people who need it, and a person reviewing anything that goes to a client. Read how a Swiss law firm can use ChatGPT and Copilot with client data.

Is ChatGPT compliant with the Swiss data protection act (nDSG)?

No tool is compliant on its own; compliance depends on how you use it. The Swiss data protection act applies directly to AI. Business plans that do not train on your data, sit under a data processing agreement and are configured properly can be used lawfully; a personal consumer account with client data is the risky case. Full explanation.

What happens after handover?

Your team runs what was built, using the plain-English documentation. If you want help with fixes, iteration or new workflows, an optional monthly retainer is available.

Do we have to build with you after the audit?

No. The audit's opportunity map is yours to use with anyone.

Where are you based?

Zürich, Switzerland, working in person in the Zürich area and remotely across Switzerland.
