Sectors
AI for professional services firms in Zürich
Firms that sell expertise by the hour lose a surprising share of the week to admin. These pages set out where AI helps in each sector, what stays with people, and how confidentiality is handled.
Law firms
AI for small law firms
Intake, correspondence, document assembly and precedent search, with professional secrecy designed in.
Treuhand and accounting
AI for fiduciaries and accountants
Document collection, data extraction, client questions and deadline reminders.
Insurance brokers
AI for insurance brokers
Quote comparisons, renewals, information duties and claims intake.
Consultancies
AI for consultancies
Proposals, meeting follow-up, knowledge reuse and status reporting.
Confidential data, small teams, no IT department
Law firms, Treuhand offices, accountants, brokers and consultancies have three things in common. They run on email, documents and spreadsheets. They hold information their clients expect to stay private. And most of them have no one whose job is to work out how AI should fit in.
That last gap is the one Zürich firms report themselves. In the ZKB's KMU-ZH Monitor 2026, run with the ZHAW, 74% of business-services firms said they view AI positively, the lack of know-how was the most cited obstacle (40%), and 46% of mid-sized firms raised data protection and security concerns. I spent around ten years in IT leadership, most recently leading IT and security operations at a FINMA-regulated Swiss bank, so I start with the confidentiality question rather than finishing with it. More about me.
What stays the same in every sector
- Your tools first. I build on your email, Microsoft 365, documents and practice or client system wherever possible.
- A person approves anything that reaches a client. AI prepares; your team decides.
- Business-grade services under contract, never personal accounts, with access limited to the people who need it.
- Fixed scope and price, agreed before work starts, and plain-English documentation at handover.
Common questions
Which professional services firms does PMBRTN work with?
Mainly law firms, Treuhand and fiduciary offices, accountants, insurance brokers and consultancies of about 5 to 100 people, in and around Zürich and remotely across Switzerland.
Do you only work with these sectors?
No, but they are the focus. The admin problems and the confidentiality requirements are similar across them, which is where my background in regulated IT is most useful.
